Oracle and Risk Controls
How price, mode, caps, ceilings, fees, and solvency combine.
Model
Risk is not one switch. A settlement must pass a stack of checks:
What Each Layer Answers
| Layer | Question |
|---|---|
| Oracle | Is the price fresh and usable? |
| Mode | Is mint/redeem/pause posture safe? |
| RiskConfig | Is this collateral enabled and within policy? |
| Rolling caps | Does this fit tx/block/day throughput? |
| Solvency | Does the account/system remain solvent? |
| Accounting | Did exact tokens move as expected? |
Operating Implication
When a quote fails, do not immediately increase caps or loosen deviation. First identify which layer rejected the action. The safest fix is usually the one that changes the narrowest layer.
