The Big Picture
Collateral Rail is a settlement layer around a Uniswap v4 pool. The pool remains
usable as an AMM. Signed quote hookData opens the extra vault settlement path.
The Boundaries
- The router owns user-facing swap call shape and PoolManager interaction.
- The hook owns swap-time gating, sizing, and transient context.
- The manager owns collateral/debt accounting and replay consumption.
- Risk and oracle modules answer whether the action is allowed right now.
- Quote server owns private signing and issuer material.
- Interface and SDK help humans and apps use the system without duplicating deployment identity.
Why This Shape
The system keeps optional complexity optional. Unsigned flow remains pool flow. Signed flow pays the cost of stronger intent, replay, oracle, solvency, and broker checks only when the integration intentionally asks for that path.
